The Young Peoples Concerned Network is a collection of youth advocates throughout Fiji. Our main mission is to voice youth concerns and push for better spaces where youth are considered and involved.
Participatory forums such as the Pacific Youth Festival are areas where youth advocates can express their skills and share their experiences. The Pacific Youth Festival happening this coming July in Suva will become the most appropriate place to have youths showcase their cultures and discuss issues that impact Pacific Youth in the light of global warming, political instabilities, globalisation, Global Financial Crisis, World Epidemics, modern colonialism, and relations now with Barack Obama's USA.
This Suva Festival for the Youth of the Pacific is far from any endorsement of regimes and certain advocacy means. This Festival is a commitment between youths from around the region to share expertise and voice individual concerns that directly relate to our many work as advocates.
Around the organising of the Pacific Youth Festival are youth activists and social workers who strive for more inclusive and sustainable changes. We acknowledge the hard work the organizing committee has put in to preparing one of the best Festivals the Pacific has ever seen.
We fully endorse the Festival and will continue to lobby for nations to come to the Pacific Youth Festival.
See you in July.
