The Young People's Concerned Network says they will only support the 1997 Constitution and not a blanket immunity over all coup perpetrators
YPCN Media Liaison officer Tomasi Tora said members struggled to voice the concerns and needs of the young people of Fiji especially after December 5, 2006.
He said their members were detained, abused, illegally arrested as well as charged for unlawful procession, threatened through the media, telephones, had properties damaged and their democracy shrine destroyed.
"The law is the law and we stand by it. There is no room for coups in our Constitution. To grant immunity would mean to accept the great crime committed against all people of Fiji," said Mr Tora.
He said to grant immunity for human rights abuses and murders was disgusting and profoundly inhumane.
"We cannot support immunity if it cannot bring about justice and put an end to the coup culture," said Mr Tora.
